Psychologists aren’t always the so called ‘experts’ in dealing with emotions.
Afterall we are all human beings.
We have vulnerabilities and insecurities.
We have breakdowns and out of control moments too.

I had to take an hour break from work due to facing a tremendous challenge.
I thought I would bottle things up and crack on.
I realized I was better than being a silencer.
I had a walk to cool my mind.

At first I was still ruminating over the difficulties faced.
And then I realized I was lost.
I was literally lost in an unfamiliar area.
In fact I didn’t know the area around the workplace, but then I decided to keep walking.

I went through houses and some dead ends.
I walked into a park.
I thought to myself,
walking while being lost does mirror to my current challenge at work.
I decided to sit with being ‘physically lost’ and tried not to think too much.
An hour later, I found the way out.
I looked back at the path I made through.
I thought,
‘What a hell of a journey.’

I left the path.
I also left the hard feelings behind.
To everyone who is facing any challenge.
Let us acknowledge our hardships, and receive some warmth and empowerment.
