I was sitting outside with a friend last week close to sunset time.
Despite the existence of the sunlight,
the wind was chilly,
I was freezing.

I thought,
nah there must be no hope I would get warm again.
My friend asked to move to another spot which was directly under some sunlight.
I gave a dry laugh.
I did not believe there would be any warmth in that faint light.

I moved as my friend asked again.
I was proven right.
I was still freezing.
I got used to a the new spot.

Few minutes later,
I suddenly became aware of some warmth on my body.
I looked up,
and found more sunlight coming in.

‘Hope comes in all sorts of guises, and perseverance pays off when we least expect it.’
Hope exists because of the life challenges and difficulties.
When there are no challenges, there is no hope.
